FTP Issues

Today I spent a few hours trying to sort out an FTP issue. When trying to log on to my remote site from Dreamweaver, the connection is timing out. I have been having this problem from last week. I went through re-setting up on Polaris; still no joy. I eventually called Technical Support. After spending nearly 1hr with them, I was directed to call Dreamweaver's Technical Support.

I spent about 30mins with them and identified that there is an issue with logging on to Polaris. I gave them the Host: polaris.umuc.edu, and they had an issue logging on. This is becoming a frustrating situation, but I am not giving up. I know that something is amiss as last semester I had no problem logging.

I hope to have this situation resolved by tomorrow.

Wk Three

What a two week I had in the snow. I have lived in Maryland for fourteen years and this is the worst I have ever experienced. It put a new meaning on distance education. Even though classes are held online, the weather situation has bearings on whether you can atten or not. I experienced power outages and great mounds of snow. I shoveled until my body ached! The I shoveled again!!! I am tired of shoveling snow!!!!

I am now getting into the frame of mind to tackle the task at hand. This week, I am thinking about CSS. How do I want my web page to look like? What color appeals to me? Do the color that appeals to me appeals to others? Questions like these are rolling around.

I am thinking of purchasing Photoshop CS4 Extended. I played around with Fireworks and Photoshop, and much prefer using Photoshop. It is an investment, but it is a worthwhile one.

I don't like talking about me. Why have I got to do an Autobiography??!! I am so shy!!!! Talking about me is not my thing. Anyway, I have to do it if I want to pass this class.

Class has started and is in full swing. The week has been a busy one. If I could get away from shoveling snow, I could spend more time working on my school work! This is the most snow I have shoveled in my life!! And to think that more is on the way!!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts surrounds a Multimedia website. I have some ideas. Stay tuned and watch as ideas are unfolded.

Class Begins!!!

So it's finally here. The beginning of a new semester! This break was just too long!! I started to get use to no school!!. Going to spend this w/e setting up.
